SUSTAINABILITY HIGHLIGHTS

AuSTIN COMMERCIAL

Through 2023, Austin Commercial has constructed more than five million SF of LEED Platinum space, and more than 34 million SF of LEED Gold space. In addition, the company's sustainable resume includes the world's first LEED Platinum airport terminal, the largest LEED Platinum corporate campus in North Texas, the largest LEED Gold replacement hospital in North America, and the first LEED Gold semiconductor fab facility in North America.

AuSTIN BRIDGE & ROAD

All eight Austin Bridge & Road hot mix asphalt plants use either piped natural gas or liquid natural gas (LNG) for the plant burner. Natural gas is the cleanest burning fuel used by asphalt plants and helps to reduce overall emissions. To keep Austin’s emissions to a minimum, the company deliberately pays a premium to use LNG vs. less environmentally friendly fuel sources.

AuSTIN INDUSTRIAL

Austin Industrial’s refinery work aims to lower the sulfur content in diesel fuels and produce cleaner-burning gasoline. Both new and revamped gas facilities are designed to meet stringent emission standards, use renewable resources, reduce oil consumption, ensure proper handling and disposal of materials, and use preventive maintenance to meet Austin’s zero-emissions standard. Austin Industrial is also steadfast in its approach for leak-free start-ups of plant operations on turnaround and outage contracts.

"At Austin, I’m proud to say that we are doing our part to protect the environment by using recycled products in our hot mix asphalt plants."
